What Are The Quality Requirements for Duct Fiber Optic Cable

Duct fiber optic cable is used for outdoor fiber optic cables in the access network or customer premises network. The quality requirements of the duct fiber optic cable are:

1) Optical cable reservation: Before connecting the optical cable, check the optical cable program and joint position, and reserve enough optical cable according to the reserved length requirements, and coil it and tie it neatly, and fix it firmly.

2) Optical cable stripping: The outer sheath of the optical cable should be stripped according to the process size of the connector sleeve, and the optical fiber should not be damaged; for the filled optical cable, use a special cleaning agent to remove the filler, and it is strictly forbidden to use gasoline to clean it.

3) Fiber splicing and termination: fiber splicing should be operated continuously to ensure splicing quality; special cleaners should be used to clean the fiber before splicing; operations should be performed strictly in accordance with the operating specifications of the splicing instrument during splicing to ensure splicing quality.

4) Optical fiber connection loss test record: The fiber connection loss value should be less than the design requirement; the estimated loss value of each fiber connection should be recorded during the connection process, and the loss value of the connection point (two-way) should be tested with ODTR and recorded; Connection points with excessive loss should be disconnected and redone.

5) Optical fiber arrangement at the splice point: After all the optical fibers have been spliced, the remaining fiber should be coiled on the frame according to the different structure of the optical cable connector sleeve (box) according to the process requirements. The winding direction should be consistent. The bending radius of the optical fiber coil should be greater than the radius of curvature specified by the manufacturer, and the joint should be straight and free of force. After the optical fiber tray is left, use sponge and other buffer materials to press the optical fiber to form a protective sleeve, and move it into the connector sleeve.

6) Joint encapsulation: The joint casing is encapsulated according to the process requirements; the joint casing should be placed in a bag of moisture-proof agent and joint responsibility card; the heat-shrinkable casing can only be moved after it has been heat-shrunk and cooled in place, and the appearance of the heat-shrinkable product is required to be beautiful. , No bad conditions such as burnt; the installation and fixing of the joint box should be carried out according to the design requirements.

7) Label: After the optical cable is finished, the corresponding digital label should be affixed on the splicing tray according to the order of the fiber core of the optical cable. The label should be clear and intact.

8) Optical cable splicing loss test: Check whether the ODTR equipment status, wavelength, distance, pulse width, IOR, average limit items, sampling point information and other parameters are set correctly before the optical cable splicing loss test; each fiber core should be divided into A and B ends. test, More.
