The Difference Between GYFTY and GYFTA, GYFTS optical cable

There are three kinds of non-metallic aerial optical cables, GYFTY, GYFTS, GYFTA three kinds of optical cables. If they are non-metallic and non-armored, it is GYFTY. GYFTA is a non-metallic reinforced core, aluminum armored optical cable. GYFTS is a non-metallic reinforced core, steel armored optical cable.

GYFTY optical cable adopts a loose tube layer stranded structure, the optical fiber is sheathed in a loose tube made of high modulus polyester material, and the tube is filled with waterproof compound. The loose tube (and filling rope) is twisted around the non-metallic central reinforcement core (FRP) to form a compact cable core, and the gaps in the cable core are filled with water-blocking grease. The cable core is extruded with a polyethylene sheath.

GYFTA optical cable adopts a loose tube stranded structure, the optical fiber is sheathed in a loose tube made of high modulus polyester material, and the tube is filled with waterproof compound. The loose tube (and filling rope) is twisted around the non-metallic central reinforcement core (FRP) to form a compact cable core, and the gaps in the cable core are filled with water-blocking grease. The outer aluminum armor of the cable core is longitudinally wrapped, and then a polyethylene sheath is extruded. GYFTS is the same structure as GYFTA, that is, the aluminum armor is replaced with a double-sided coated steel strip.

GYFTY has no metal material in its structure, and it is suitable for lightning areas, high-voltage areas, and places with severe electromagnetic interference. Generally, GYFTA and GYFTS optical cables can also be applied to electricity and where environmental requirements are not high. Non-metallic FRP center reinforcement core, good tensile performance, anti-conductive optical cable Product characteristics: non-metal (FRP) reinforcement, suitable for lightning areas, high-voltage areas, lightning protection; tensile, abrasion, flattening, and It has good mechanical properties such as impact, repeated bending, twisting, winding, bending (bending angle not exceeding 90°), gunshot, etc.; good environment such as stable temperature cycle, complete sheath, impermeable water flow, flame retardant, etc. Performance; Precisely controlled optical fiber excess length and optical cable stranding pitch ensure that the optical cable has excellent tensile performance and temperature characteristics; the expected life span is more than 30 years. Light weight, small cable length, small load on poles and towers.
